The day is approaching. Edits are almost done and I’m mentally ready to send my baby into the world. Okay, that was a lie. I’m not ready – but we’re doing this anyway!

Yugen is a light Science Fiction, heavy Fantasy novel. What I mean by light Sci-Fi/heavy Fantasy is the setting is going to feel very much like Fantasy, and there is definitely magic but there are Androids, and intergalactic happenings taking place. I drew heavily on my own experiences in the military to craft this novel. Including some of my personal experiences with sexual harassment and sexual assault. I think you’re going to find this story compelling.

Here’s my pitch:

Vian has worked his entire life to join the Guardian ranks. The day for his cohort’s final examination is here, but misunderstood by his teachers, Vian, an exceptional new Guardian, is assigned to the lowest order; Rock Guardian.

With his dreams crumbling, he struggles holding to his ideals as he faces the horrors of his new assignment – and the betrayal of the worst kind by his leader and peers.
